In all these years I have never had a problem when I've needed to come here, until today. I couldn't see my own doctor, so I came to the walk in to see someone. A man (grey hair and glasses) called me in. I explained the issue IN SPANISH and he said one word to me which I didn't understand. I told him I didn't, again in Spanish. He then proceeded to insult me in Spanish, which I understood well. He then questioned me on why I am not fluent, to which I bit my tongue. He then gave me a very poor excuse for an examination, didn't say what what wrong even though I asked and then handed me a prescription. He explained the instructions which I understood but again, he said one word I couldn't hear or understand. He then mocked me again for not being fluent in Spanish. I then told him his behaviour is unacceptable IN SPANISH and told him my health should be his priority at the moment, not him having an issue with me asking him to explain something slowly or more clearly. He was extremely unprofessional, rude, arrogant and racist. If he doesn't like patients, especially English ones then he shouldn't work at a hospital, least of all not one that has a high influx of tourists in the summer months. He needs to be sacked!
Had a really good experience at reception. I had an injury that needed an xray. Unfortunately this hospital does not have xray facilities but the receptionist kindly booked a taxi for me to go to a central hospital Can Misses, where they gave me an Xray and treated me within 40 mins end to end. I’m very grateful and would absolutely recommend paying the 50 euros taxi to Can Misses and back for urgent care with a European health card. Sharing in case helpful for others.
I’m an expat and a resident in Ibiza, I went here during the night with my partner over a concern as recommended by their online doctor the same night (not alcohol or drug related). I tried to explain in Spanish the problem and that we have health insurance. Granted my Spanish isn’t perfect but she was dismissive, rude and didn’t seem interested in anything I had to say. No wonder your ratings are so low, also handed pills with no instructions and sent on our way. Absolute joke!
If I could give this place a zero I would. We took our 20 month old as he had a temperature, runny nappies for a couple days and wasn’t eating much. Initially we put it down to the heat as it’s not something we are accustomed too, but after a few days, a particularly unrestful night for him and some advice from our hotel; we brought him to the clinic. As we hadn’t brought our passports we were told it would be €115 which we were happy to pay if he was going to get some help. (It was never really explained what our passports had to do with the charge but we expected to pay something so that was fine. The "doctor" who saw us, if she was a doctor she didn’t introduce herself was one of the most rudest, horrible people I have ever met. She had no patience with our crying baby who was clearly in discomfort, she made one attempt to check his mouth and when he moved his head away in distress. She said well I can’t check his mouth so I don’t know. she was too busy scolding my husband and I for not bringing him during the day when the paediatric doctor was available. She spoke to us like Idiots and had the worst bedside manner of any health professional I have encountered. She was no help. Prescribed him brufen and was more concerned that I was annoyed with her and her attitude than her checking on our baby. A few times I said can we focus on the baby and she was far too busy telling me that people are usually happy with her…. Unlikely if she treats them like she did us. If you have small children, take them somewhere else! Don’t waste your money.
I had a horrible experience yesterday at the hospital thanks to DR VERONICA BORONAT PRATS. My cousin and I are both from Australia and both have been very ill for over a week now, I was also experiencing severe chest and back pain which was the main reason I went to the hospital. I was already very distressed and crying when I walked in, the man with the glasses at reception is so kind and a wonderful he showed me so much care and empathy, truely an angel. The first doctor I saw was very kind and the doctor my cousin saw was also lovely. However when it was my turn to see Dr Veronica my experience took a horrible turn. The second I walked it I attempted to shut the door and she yelled at me to leave it open. I started telling her what was happening and cut me off immediately and started yelling at me and pointing to go back to reception and put a mask on. I got up to go get one and she was yelling at me to take my phone with me as I left it on the chair despite the fact I was coming right back. I was very distressed and crying so much at this point she asked to see my paper work so I slid it over to her on the desk which was also like metre infront of me I couldn’t just pass it. She then started yelling at me once again saying I need to learn manners and the security guard and other nurses heard the commotion and ran over. I couldn’t make out what she was saying as it was in Spanish but she was making it like I threw the paper at her which was not true. Then some of the staff proceeded to laugh and still talk about me in Spanish. She was so rude and lacked empathy, her tone towards me was so upsetting and unprofessional. After reading the reviews I can see I’m not the only one who was experienced her horrible behaviour towards her patients.
