Europcar
Europcar in Sant Jordi de ses Salines offers a range of vehicle rental options. While the company aims to provide suitable vehicles, there have been instances where the condition of the cars did not meet expectations, with some vehicles requiring immediate attention due to mechanical issues. The process of acquiring a vehicle can sometimes involve extensive checks for pre-existing damage.
Customer interactions at the rental desk can vary. Some patrons have reported feeling pressured to purchase additional insurance or upgrades, even when not desired. However, there are also reports of helpful staff members who can ensure a smoother return process, particularly when clear documentation of the vehicle's condition is available. Exploring alternative rental options is often advised.

Customer Reviews
Europcar has a rating of 3.8 out of 5 based on over 1135 reviews on Google
We pre-booked a rental car with Europcar last week. When we arrived at the desk, we were offered several extra options that we did not need. We then asked if we could have a nice car within our category. The agent (Alonso, I believe) told us that if we took the extra coverage, he would give us a nice car. We understood this to mean that he would make no effort unless we paid for an extra. We did not take any extras and were given an MG, which then broke down at our house because of a battery issue. Honestly, we felt this was done on purpose, and it was very disappointing. We will not book with Europcar again and will stay with SIXT, who have always provided exceptional service and cars.
Car was OK. Check-in team upsell tactics and their want to switch away from an EV especially when charging at over 245 chargers across the island are free. Didn't pay a penny for the 600km on the island... A simple 1 pager and an app link for the island would have saved them asking 5 times if I didn't want to upgrade and not take an EV. Team member on check-out stopped this been a lower rating; great customer service.
I wouldn’t recommend as per my first and last visit! When Picking up the car lady was very nice and tried topple me insurance treating in case of any damage it will be €5000 + tax excess. Then I had booked premium car - C class MB, as the association said it was brand new car only 2000km driven and two minor scratches, so I was very excited as the newer cars are nice to drive. But there it was - once I got to the car pick up, this "brand new" Mercedes was beaten up from each side, had to spend 20+ min to point every scratch and damage so I wouldn’t get charged at he end. Once I started pointing out, the associate was getting angry as it’s extra work for him and heavily breathing with every mark I pointed. Saying "what do I expect - this is Ibiza!" Which left me speachless from customer service point, as the lady at the counter said it’s a brand new car. Be very careful and always check the car before leaving Hopefully to get back my deposit and never rent here again.
Oui, on peut garder l’essentiel et le rendre beaucoup plus percutant : ★★★★☆ Overall, a very good experience with Europcar Ibiza, hence the 4 stars. Everything went smoothly except for an extremely stressful return handled by Victoria. She immediately went on all fours to inspect underneath the front bumper, claiming her "expert eye and intuition" had told her to look there, and then accused us of causing new damage. However, Europcar’s own check-in report and previous photos showed the same damage was already present. Despite this, she kept insisting it was new and refused to call a manager. Thankfully, the airport manager reviewed the evidence, acknowledged the mistake and apologised. We were not charged. A very unnecessary and stressful situation that could have been handled far more professionally.
Be extremely careful with EUROPCAR (the staff is kind, but the deals are ripp-offs) eg. Insurance rip-off! You have to be incredibly careful with EUROPCAR at the Ibiza airport, especially if you booked your car through another car rental website/servive : EUROPCAR tries to intimidate you by saying: "You are not insured with us and will have to pay up to €3,500 in case of damage!" They try to sell you extra insurance: All prices are net here (!), for example, €13.50 extra per day for the smallest insurance package. On top of that, they add 21% VAT and an EXTRA tax for the airport location of another 15% – a total of 36% tax on top of the daily rate! Of course, this isn't mentioned openly; as usual, you'll find it somewhere in the fine print. Furthermore, cars, especially at the beginning of the season, are marked "no damage" on the rental agreement. But beware: That was the case with my car today – but in reality, the car had well over eight serioua damages (scratches, dents, etc.). I had to have the rental agreement amended twice, took me 1 hour. Inspect the EUROPACAR car carefully beforehand, take photos and videos, and most importantly, report any defects to the service department where you pick up the car. Even better: Rent a car outside the airport and not from EUROPCAR. These companies all have a convenient shuttle service that regularly picks up guests from the parking garage opposite. Very relaxing. I am, unfortunately, incredibly disappointed with Europcar.
